Application Process


Prior to submitting an application please note the following:

General Information: 

We are an equal opportunity housing provider. Please read all information & questions located below, and on the application carefully. CALL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. APPLICATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Realty Executives Tucson Elite represents the owner of the property for which the applicant is applying for.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS & NEXT STEPS:  

  1. 1. VIEW & ASK - You MUST VIEW THE PROPERTY prior to application submission. Be sure to get ALL QUESTIONS ANSWERED prior to submission. Application fees are non-refundable.
  2. APPLICATION & AGE REQUIREMENTS– Fill out applications completely. All tenants age 18 years of age and older must submit separate applications. Tenant responsible for rent must be at least 18 years of age. All required applications & requested information must be submitted before applications will be considered.
  3. PROOF OF INCOME– Current income must be approximately 3 times the monthly rent, and verifiable, with an acceptable history or offer/contract. 2 months of the most recent paystubs must be uploaded for employed applicants. Proof of income must be provided for self-employed, retired, or those who rely on an alternative means of income.
  4. PROCESSING- Application fees are $60.00 for each applicant, and are non-refundable. Applications are processed by a professional screening company, including criminal, credit, rental, and eviction history. Application process is typically 2-3 days.
  5. ID– Valid Social Security number, and government issued ID is required.
  6. INSURANCE– Call prior to submitting your application to verify insurance requirements for the property that you are applying for. Renter’s insurance is recommended on all properties.
  7. NO SMOKING– All properties that we manage are non-smoking properties, including any kind of tobacco or electronic cigarettes, anywhere on the interior or exterior of the property.
  8. PETS– Allowed with owner’s written permission, per property. Upload photos with your application please!
  9. NON-REFUNDABLE HOLDING/EARNEST MONEY FEE, RENT DUE PER LEASE, & SIGNED LEASE - Due within 48 hours of approval.
  10. KEYS– Available on the lease start date, after receipt of all required documents, information, funds, and proof of utility transfer.

REASONS THAT AN APPLICATION CAN BE DECLINED- CALL prior to submitting an application if any of the following pertain to you:  

 

  1. YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE PROPERTY.
  2. MISSING INFORMATION– As requested on application.
  3. NEGATIVE RENTAL HISTORY– Late rent payments, evictions, lease violations.
  4. NEGATIVE CREDIT HISTORY– Open collection accounts, unpaid liens, judgments, bankruptcies that have not been discharged.
  5. CRIMINAL HISTORY – Such as sexual offenses, certain felonies or jail sentences served, illegal drug use and/or sales, excessive DUIs, evidence of criminal activity.
